The magnificent Mr. Rusty recovers in his foster home.

When his owner had to go into a nursing home, the 20-year old Mr. Rusty found himself in the shelter with severe ocular disease including glaucoma and corneal ulceration.

After examination by the Ophthalmology service at UF, it was decided that the best way to keep Rusty happy and pain-free was to remove his right eye. The HAARTS program was happy to sponsor Rusty’s procedure and give him a new lease on life!
