Charley Bob

HAARTS
Charley Bob relaxes in preparation for his weekly therapeutic massage.

Charley Bob is a young adult boxer mix that came into the shelter at Alachua County Animal Services with a fractured hip and pelvis after being hit by a car. The shelter’s medical staff worked hard to keep Charley Bob comfortable, but they just couldn’t afford the surgery to fix his broken bones. That’s when the HAARTS program and teams of specialists from the Small Animal Surgery and Rehabilitation & Fitness services stepped in to help.

Upon hearing of Charley Bob’s story, Pit Sisters of Jacksonville, FL immediately called upon their network of volunteers to transport Charley Bob to a foster home to continue his road to recovery.  Charley Bob is using his injured leg more and more each day and looks forward to finding his new home.
